From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (/ ˈvældənstrɛmz ˌmækroʊˌɡlɒbjələˈniːmiə /; WM) is a type of cancer affecting two types of B cells: lymphoplasmacytoid cells and plasma cells. Both cell types are white blood cells.

Buildup of the protein can lead to problems with bleeding, vision, and the nervous system. WM is sometimes called lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma.
