The flipped classroom is a pedagogical model that reverses the typical lecture and homework elements of a course. Students view short video lectures or other multimedia content asynchronously before the class session. Then in-class time is devoted to active learning such as discussions, project-based or problem-based assignments, or laboratory exercises.
Simply put, in a flipped classroom what is traditionally done in-class is done at home, while what is done as homework is now done in-class under the guidance of the teacher.
